which dinghy should I buy? - 2009/06/15 19:25 I am new to this forum, and recently returned to sailing.

My oldest child (of 4) is now 6 and I have started to take him and one of my daughters (age 4) to the local club on a friday evening to learn how to sail.

I have been looking for a boat that I can use with my children now - put a little outboard on, row , sail and allow the kids to join in and do now, and as they get older.

At the club there is a very good condition mirror for £400, also at the club is a very tatty mirror that requires repainting, new fittings etc for nothing. and someone else I know has a GP14 that is in pretty good condition for sail (ready to sail but needs revarnish etc)

Which one would be best?
