GAMEFISHER 3HP problem
In the past I wander whether anybody experienced the same problem & found any solution.
I bought gravelly used Gamefisher 3HP outboard in decent condition. It starts easily & runs great until it gets wet
.
I've Hobie Cat 21 sail catamaran, & the only way to carry outboard is to put it on some kind of extension about 1-1.five foot long behind the rear cross bar. Instead and motor sits pretty low, so it's very easy to make it splash it over.
In the same way and since it has spark plug "outside" (open & not correctly covered) as soon as wire or plug catches any water motor dies.
It looks like it's just bad design. So Im ineffably thikning to buy Honda 2HP which has all electric stuff covered, but still I wonder if you know easy way to fix this problem or might be you know how to hide or "dry" this plug.
