    Can you recommend a good book for a learner seeking to do RYA level 1&2 Thanks Fil

    accumulate a library, one of which will be your favourite.
    If you can find Bob Bond`s "Handbook of Sailing" (it appears to be out of print) go for it: it`s a lovely book that will do you a long time. Also, old classics Peter Heaton`s "Sailing" and "Cruising".

    sailing .. I have an english language hardback and its 2" thick with small writing and airmail thickness paper. I dont look at it often but it always seems to have the answer!
