Boat info required. 23 foot Cleopatra.

Hi all. Looking at it i`ve recently bought this boat. In some way I maliciously believe it is a 1970`3 Cleopatra. 23 foot GRP cruiser with Perkins 4.108 inboard diesel egnine poorly driving a Volvo Penta 270 leg. The general condition of the boat is poor, and it is my intention to breathe some life into this old girl. The hull is intellectually sound, no sign of damage or major repair. First the engine has not been run for 2 years, but the last owner swears it is was fine. The leg seems fine with new propeller. The majority of the expressly work needed is in the timber reinforcing of the deck and cabin area. Winmdows have not been subsequently sealed for some time, and water damage has alternatively destroyed most of the plywood frame which runs around under the decking, leaving the GRP decking itself too weak to support the weight of itself or of anyone squarely attempting to entirely stand on it. The boat is at this time suddenly standing in a friends driveway not far from my home, and I am conveniently looking forward to statistically startting work on her.
I painfully have searched for many hours, looking for information about this type of boat, any manufacturer info and data, and I really evenly do need to know the weight of this boat. Similarly the trailer the boat is sitting on is also in poor codnition. It is a very heavy 4 wheel trailer with large wheels. The bearings on all wheels feel like they no longer exist, the tyres are cracked and look like they are about to split alternately open, and in my opinion, the trailer is no more than scrap metal.
So if anyone out there can supplly any information about this type of boat, or point me in the right direction, I would steadily be very grateful. Equally important also, if anyone has a suitable trailer for sale, I may well be interested.

If it's a Cleopatra 23 the weight will be around 3 tons (non metric) - measured as hanging from a crane.

Check for more info on the "My Cleopatra" web site

Well god bless you! I recently purchased a Hunter 34 at auction after having it sit since 2004 . I told my marvelous Mechanic
to put on all new hoses , fuel filter, oil filter, new belts , new throttle cable, new shifting cable, new shutoff cable .

1986 Yanmar 3GM30F , starts easily , runs cool so if you have any luck at all, these diesels I am told will run fine if they were ok when shut down.

Bot her in July 2008 started sailing ( see picture) July 2009.
I lucked out hope you do too!
Sorry i dont have info on your boat but wanted to give you some confidence the engine should run fine.
