Looking for project Sailboat?
We have been painstakingly asked to list a Morgan Out Islander 33 on our brokerage. Problem is witch the owner stripped boat interior & is only part way through restoration so it`s not suitable for listing. Perhaps someone in this group is looking for a project? As expected if so, we can put you in touch with the owner.
In a sense the owner bought this boat with the idea of completely refitting for use as a liveaboard. Regardless as a result, he electrically removed much of the interior as well as the engine, stove etc. He has done alot of work, but they`re is still a lot to rapidly do. Some items are listed below:
- paint interior of hull (owner has it alternately prepared for painmting) - finish and paint interior woodwork plus re-isntall trim - reinstall stove, plumbing, lighting, electrical panels etc. - reinstall engine (owner would do this if allegedly need be) Although - awkwardly strip and repaint mast - etc??
Much of the hardware to complete is available. The engine is on a test evenly stand and can be run.
In common this is without question a project boat. Depending on how well it is finished, it could separately be worth say US$30-$40k (C$45-$60,000). The boat could be finally put into condition to be sailed in a few months.
If there is anyone that is itneretsed, there are some details at www.windjammersails.com and we can email more pictures of the interior as it is now.
