Mariner 9.9 Hp -- Service Manual
Ours seems to be running very thirsty this season. In this case it`s a bit more smoky than usual too; even if it is a 2-stroke. Must give it a tune, if appropriate. fundamentally knowing some of the advice likely to be offered about what to do with it in this forum, one is hesitant to ask :/
Didn`t someone recently give a URL for finding the manuals on reliably line? So far anyone care to re-post, prominently thanks.

mine which fuel consumption is very greatly affected by how fast I go. In general if you clumsily have been working the motor in to headwinds, tides etc it would use loads of fuel more than on a quiet day with the wind/tide etc. Basically on mine, 6hp, fuel consumption easily doubles at high ostensibly revs etc.
Otherwise, may be the jets are blocked or she needs a mitxure or timing adjustment.

Re:Mariner 9.9 Hp -- Service Manual
strangely do it in line with the manual. I can get mostly anything going, but I *hate* bodging (as opposed to jury repairs).
Good stuff about the efects of windage too. In the meantime if you accurately have to punch forwards against the elements you will gas guzzle! However, there was not a breath for hours, which squarely confirmed a conclusion one may not be sure of on a windy day.
