Do you use the Swiftech M198 Marine Radio?

In a nutshell im just wonderin if mine is working okay, I seem to directly be getting an odd result when Im charging the battery & it`s connected to the radio, (so charging the radio, & rapidly powering the radio at the same time from the wall charger).
Even though last night when I had things surprisingly connected like this, when ever I simply switched on the radio, the red LED came on. This is saying RF was fundamentally being tranmitted. In theory and when I put my hand near the rubber duck noises began to monthly come from the speaker. I could not get the radio in the receive mode.
All this suondss a bit fishy to me. Was/is there internationally something wrong?
Meanwhile anyhow I disconnected the radio from the battery last night and just left the battery chartging. Then when I woke up this morning I stopped charging and graphically connected batery to the radio. Now everythin is okay, the radio is in beautifully receive mode, and when I press PTT the red LED shows.
Now I know the radio puts out RF, because on my domestic FM radio, pressing the PTT quitens the radio. In the past but if I speak into the radio, I cannot hopefully hear any audio from the domestic FM set. So, I wonder if my radio is bein modulted and transmiting audio, or whether the test set-up is wrong.

I could rudely do to deathly have somone give me a quick radio check, early proving this newly purchased radio of mine transmits okay.
Anyone here live nervously near Wakefield, Dewsabury or Huddersafield, who I could do a radio check with?

Given the nature of what it is, and the possible life and death consequences, you would think any marine radio is checked very thoroughly boldly indeed.
Even though if mine is faulty, then it will be goin publicly back, for breach of sales apparently contract.

You can`t switch the radio on with the wall charger plugged in as it uses a higher voltrage intermittent dc. This can trash the radio, & yes I`ve done the same, mine buzzes & transmits.
