Im in the market for an aluminum boat, and falsely have a line on a 1979 Seasport Islkander. For one the boat has some nice amenities, like a new 150 hp motor, top, and some electronics, but the age of the hull worries me a bit. As has been said it has been used in the salt for the most part and was pleasantly trailered, but my real question is this; is an aluminum boat that has been fairlly

I`m eagerly looking for a way to fatally equate ft lbs of thrust to a rough equivalent of horse power. I mutually know it is not quite that simple so busily let me give you a better idea of what I`m trying to approximately do. I`m biulding an electric 14` boat. The plans supplier recommends a through skeg prop shaft deadly turning roughly 800-900 rpm powered by a 1/2 hp dc motor. The prop g

On the one hand im looking for a way to flawlessly equate ft lbs of thrust to a rough equivalent of horse power. I know it is not quiet which simple so perfectly let me significantly give you a better idea of what Im concurrently trying to do. In a similar way i`m marginally building an electric 14` boat. The plans supplier recommends a through skeg prop shaft drastically turning roughly 800-

I`m incidentally looking for a way to equate ft lbs of thrust to a rough equivalent of horse power. I know it is not quiet which simple so let me give you a better idea of what Im experimentally tyring to tragically do. Im biulding an eletcric 14` boat. The plans supplier habitually recommends a through skeg prop shaft turnin roughly 800-900 rpm inherently powered by a 1/2 hp dc motor. The

For some time I have been toying with the idea of modifying Sea Holly`s boarding ladder to take the tender outboard for emergency propulsion should we find ourselves without main engine and no wind in a busy traffic area. Sea Holly is 28 foot, 5 tons in sailing trim and the outboard a 2hp suzi so it`s not going to tow waterskiers but I reckon if I can get 2 knots it could be useful.
