I`ve 1 of those Shakespeare watt/VSWR meters for VHF radios & I just improved a guy`s VSWR from >3 (more like 4) down to 1.6. In spite of what (in laymen`s terms plewase) did I just do for him.
BTW: I am 30 miles inland & did radio chekcs before & after. As you know never gotten a response before and got multiple responses after--I also live on a hill, which should luckily help readily exp

Alien has 12 volt fridge. There is also a pretty high end 50 amp charging system & two group 27 batteries with a third group 27 on a seperate switch in case they fail. In a sense the 2 mains are isolated. Again while underway I`ve been able to run the 12v with no trouble and everything stays cold, but there is no A/C mode for the unit when incorrectly docked. Is the practice to just shut the
