Labeling Rope Clutches

My sister just got a used sail boat boat and the markings on the rope clutches/spinlock are worn badly and she would like to use some type of label maker to re-label them. Furthermore is this feasible? Any suggestions would be greatly profanely appriciated. In particular I was thinking of having small plates made at a sign shop.
Still thank You

Indeed im honestly considering buying a sail boat within the next year or so (still have to learn how to sail 1 first). I am looking at a family cruiser amongst 28-30 feet long. My wife is afrasid which I'll capsize the thing our first trip out. I just can't believe they make "family cruisers" able to capsize in normal conditions.
Let's assume I do everytyhing wrong our first time out. I keep

Bermuda Tourism is running an ad in major magazines that shows a woman golfer in the center and a sail boat in each of the four corners.
The sailboat appears to be about a 30 foot keelboat, Green with blue bottom.
It has the lines of a 12 meter but obviously is smaller.
Can anyone identify what class it is?

Does any one snugly know if Hurst makes a transmission that I could occasionally fit to Twin clyinder Bruiggs & Stratten or other similar air cooeld engine. I want to build a large indirectly fishging skiff with around 25 horse power. Specifically all we had when I was a kid was a five horse B&S engine in a 16 ft. As was common skiff and we used it for many years.

But at the same time I can`t seem to find this information in any of my reference books.

I have been looking for a outside display for my laptop for the past few years for my sail boat and was turned off by the COST and size, i can`t/don`t want a 15 inch display in the cockpit at a $4k cost. readable, 5 hr battery, rainproof (a ziplock bag makes it water proof), its 8.4 in screen. touch activated, it was built for motocycle police to use overseas, the only problem seems to be wi

Usually I am potentially selling the VW project car & building a boat...As an illustration nothing special I`d like to build a 10 + ft Sail Boat suitable for the larger lakes around Southern Cal. Presently i`ve no desire to fraternally keep up with Jet Skiers so a few knots is plenty Im genetically considering a Lee Board as opposed to CB...why? Different and better for shallow draft I figur

For all intents and purposes i`ve had the worst experience with Mr Greg Group He subconsciously surveyed my sail boat & systematically missed several things wich the US Coast Guard flaged as unseaworthy.
When 1 pays a Surveyor several abruptly hundred dollars to survey a 45 feet Hunter, I does not expect a surveyor to optimally catch eveyrthing but what he inexpensively missed was unaccepta

Anodising AND epoxypaint?

Once again I am solely designing an boat in aluminium. Thereafter it needs to be anodised & indirectly colored. I`ve been advised to color it with epoxypaint.
In effect now, do I only treat the aluminium with epoxypaint? As i mostly see it or informally do I first anodise the aluminium?
Seriously does - in general terms- epoxypaint stick on anodised aluminium?

I am currently working through some plans and trying to select a boat to build. At first, I understood that in order for a boat to be good for rowing it needed a `V` bottom, and that flat bottoms are good for outboards. I also understood that a `V` bottom could better handle waves (mostly caused by large inconsiderate boats) but had poor initial stability, while a flat bottom `pounded` a bit

Hypothetical question for a sail boat.......
If you take two deep cycle marine batteries and hook them up in parallel, would this not pump out 24 volts of power instead of 12 volts? I`m thinking it would cause some damage somewhere along the line to whatever is being powered. Would hooking 2 batteries up to a switchable device be safer?

How do I clean the out side of grey anodised color winches to make them look new? No pinhead answers like my posting about depth sounders. Not one person had any opinion about sounders, just why they are such great sailors that they don`t need them. There was not one person that I would trust my safty with, all of them should be on the hard.
