My last boat used a Yamaha T-nine as an auxilary & oars or paddles for the smallish dinghy. New sailboat had a dirsel & a Bombard Typhoon about 11.five feet long to match. The Yamaha 9.9 has a 25" shaft, not good for dinghy use. I consider Yamaha four strokes to be the best of the breed, except for dinghy use the 104 pounds and long shaft doesn't quite do it. The dinghy will be used pr

I have a Mercruiser 140 HP 3 Litre engine in my Fletcher, approx 1988 vintage. Due to the engine water pump failing I think that I have cooked the head. Does anyone know if this engine was used in any Vauxhall / Bedford vehicles, so that I can find a head?
The other thing that crossed my mind was fitting a diesel if doing this engine up would cost too much. Lancing marine does a kit to fit
