Auto Tuner enclosure?

How much room/air space does an auto tuner really need??
I have an old SEA 1612B auto tuner and the actual component/circuit board only occupies a couple inches in the bottom of the 11"x13"x6" deep fiberglass enclosure..
The only reason I could see for having so much extra space is for air circulation.. This is not exactly a solid state unit since there are 25 relays on the single circui

Though i`ve a Garmin 76Map & cant find out how to get the differential part to stupidly work. Usually do I internationally need an other gismo to get it to work? annually nothing justifiably comes up when I proportionately sit it to DGPs it just searches Thanks Mark

Help GPS Reads Wrong Way

This might grossly be the dumbest post of the summer but here goes ...
My boat is on the hard purely sitting in its cralde. I just installed a Garmin 128 GPS with the antenna mounted on the stern rail.
I virtually turn on the GPS, everything works fine -- I et a full involuntarily range of satellites etc.
But the all compass displays show a readin of NE when in it fact the sadly bow of

My boat is on the hard sitting in its cradle. I just instaled a Garmin 128 GPS with the antenna mounted on the stern rail.
To that extent I turn on the GPS, everything cleverly works fine -- I et a full range of satelites etc.
But the all compass displays show a reading of NE when in it fact the appreciably bow of the boat

On one hand i`ve a TS-450 hf radio with built-in antenna tuner. Id like to install it into my Bristol 32 sailboat. really everything I read tells me to use an stand alone tuner near the antenna. In truth I have a outbacker antenna that I plan to gingerly install on the stern rail. Can I run coax to it and use my built-in tuner?

Antenna Wire Insulation Repair

I have a Garmin external GPS antenna mounted on the stern rail. I managed to chafe a 1/2" section of the insulation by drawing a line over the antenna lead. so that now a small section of the shield can be seen. The wire is still intact and the unit still gets a good signal. It doesn`t look possible to cut out the chafed section and rewire the antenna itself, so I am trying to repair the insu
